The Legend of The Chocolate Nutcraker

Sooooo... I've been dancing these pass couple of weeks and have only had two injuries!!! :-) For those that know me, I am always hurt...lol... But anyway... the show is coming up and its crunch time. I've dropped a few pounds due to that fact that I have to squeeze my fat butt into some bodies’ damn leotard...LOL!!! But it's all good... Hopefully this will lead to something a lil more organized and intense where I can really perfect my craft... I love to DANCE!!!

So we stumble upon a long standing Italian restaurant in Marina off of Washington. Great place, reminded us a bit of Felipi's (San Diego) from the outside and the area. We will have to update you all on that later. Anyways, decided to check it out and it will definitely be added to our usual rotation! Cool spot to hang out as well as there are plenty of bars and other spots right across the street. It is right off the beach on Washington in Marina del Rey. Can't miss it!

Great food, great service, good times!

Garlic Knots...sooooo good! I could have ate those things til I got full. Oh...and the House Chianti. Its on an honor system, pour your own glasses. I like this place already!

Calimari Appetizer was pretty good. Had better, but it was very fresh and tasty!

So before we went to the Musiq Concert, we stopped off at Gyu-Kaku in Beverly Hills. Its a Yakiniku style Japanese restaurant where you grill your own food right at your table! The food is delicious and its always fun. As you will see, we killed our food so fast we didnt get to take any pictures of it, but I got a shot of dessert though! :-)

Here is the grill in the center of the table used to cook our grub. Some of our favorites are the Chilean Sea Bass w/ Miso Butter! Yum! Soooo good! Of course the Kalbi Short Rib and Rib Eye are good. The veggies, mushrooms and asparagus are a must have. They come in packages of foil that you place right on the grill. Oh and no meal is complete without the Garlic Shrimp Bibimba! Its awesome garlic shrimp fried rice in a hot stone pot...so make sure you get that.

Cheescake Crepe...it was yummy! With a scoop of Vanilla ice cream.

So once again we made a trip out to SB. This time it just so happened to be our 6 month anniversary. So we went ahead and celebrated of course and had a great time as usual. Took the Amtrak out there, relaxed and just enjoyed being away from LA. :-) And yes, we went to Santa Barbara Shellfish Company 3 times while we were there...lol! Good times...awesome resort, awesome food, awesome city...awesome trip!

We even took public transportation! Something we would NEVER do in LA! Lol!


I would definitely recommend the property...great times.

I Still Got It...

So I, Falyn Kingi, have hit the dance floor again... "I Still Got it Yaaannnnng"...LOL!!!! I think I have really got myself into something I can't get out of now... I went in thinking I would just do a couple of pieces and be done with it... But I'm afraid I asked God for something I really wasn't ready for. But it's a blessing, so I really shouldn't complain... I get to knock out 2 birds with one stone (is that how they say it?...lol...)... I get to lose weight and get my mojo back :-) But be on the look out for me... Nov. 29th and 30th... Glendale Community College :-)

Knott's Scary Farm 08'

Ok, so we hit up Knott's on a Wednesday night. (not a great idea btw, when you have to go to work the next AM) It was me, Falyn, Kim, Jamal, Jazzy, Justice and Kendall. Good times and goofy as always.

Well we didn't take pics of our food (sorry), but you know we had to stop and get some of that good ol' Knott's Fried Chicken. Complete with biscuits, corn, and mashed potatoes. Oh...and a Corona. :-) We then had to wait in line for 40 minutes to get our tix and off we went!

Santa Barbara Shellfish Company

Ok so this is the best seafood...I SAY THE BEST EVER!!!! SANTA BARBARA SHELL FISH COMPANY... Ask about it!

So from the bottom(right to left) to the top we got some calamari to start you off, crab cakes and lobster tacos for lunch. For DINNER you got the Alaskan King Crab Legs... FRESH FROM THE OCEAN!!! And not to mention good prices too... $25 for 1lb. It's right at the edge of Sterns Wharf, a lil small spot but great food. Make sure you pay them a visit!

Our Awesome Meal... Why??? Cuz we're AWESOME!!!

Ok so me and the hubby decided "WE" were gonna cook on Labor day. I know that was a while ago but I couldn't NOT talk about it... lol. We accomplished a lot as our individuality (yes I used that word...lol) as cooks, surfaced in the kitchen that day.

Rob mastered his world famous ribs and cornbread and I mastered my mac and cheese and cooked some delicious greens (my first time). I must say we had an excellent dinner! I'm soo ready to do it again...so peep the pics and wish you were there...LOL!!!!

So last night we went to Musiq Soulchild's concert. Can I say REAL music???

It's such a blessing to hear some good soul music. The kind that makes you feel good, with out even goin to a church. It's amazing to me how you don't even have to say the word JESUS, but His spirit always seems to come to me when something feels good. He def has a blessing and a gift. Much respect to him...He's AWESOME!!! Can we do this AGAIN???
